My van won’t start after trying to replace the stereo. I think I may have triggered the alarm system and now the van won’t start. Anyone have any suggestions on how to get it running again?

My doors are locked, and then when I unlock them the car still thinks they are locked. I open the doors and crank my car and the alarm system starts going off. I need to disable the alarm system, but I don’t have a clue how.

I just tried jump-starting my car, but nothing happened. Absolutely nothing happened. I did everything correctly, but when I turned the key, no sound was made, nothing turned on. Could it be my remote key start/alarm system? I’ve read on the internet that it could play a role in this somehow. Any ideas?
It’s a 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee. I put the clamps in the right places — I’ve jumped a car once before. But, this time, nothing happened. And when I say that, I mean…there no sound produced. It’s as if it wasn’t attached to another car’s battery. But yeah, I am at a loss. I might have to call AAA.

I have an 04 Subaru STi with a remote start key fob. The key fob has nothing to do with the alarm, it neither deactivates nor activates it. The original fob is usually in my glovebox just in case my alarm goes off but having had it stored for months in my parents garage I forgot to put it in the car. I drove the car to the city I live in to sell it, the buyer wants a compression test and I get it done, but the alarm is triggered when the mechanic locks the door without the key fob. Now my starter motor is disabled, my horns go off, and when I pulled that fuse the signal lights blink (which I took out for the time being).

We were able to "trick" the car to start at the shop, but now I have a dead car at my house. Is there any way to disable the stock alarm system in this car since I can’t get my original fob for at least a day or two?

I have a 2004 Pontiac Bonneville SE. I was looking for something that will increase the security of my trunk for I don’t happen to come out to my car one day finding my amp and speakers missing. Is there a product out there that will fit my car that will help protect my system? I am planning on getting a good alarm system, but is there anything else that you all would recommend?

I just bought a used car and it has an alarm system on it. It requires me to input a 4 digit number to arm/disarm it, the keypad is under the dashboard.. The only markings on it is "AG II Professional". Does anyone know where I can get information about it? I’d like to change the alarm code as I don’t trust the previous owner. The car is a 1990 Ford so the alarm is most likely from after 1990. It was bought in Australia

I am willing to travel far to get this alarm system installed, it is the FM-870 COMMANDO with 2 way vibrating pager, shock sensors, auto roll-up windows, etc. Please let me know if you have any locations that might install or know ppl who will install. make: hyundai xg350L 2004

Last night we plugged a power converter into cigarette lighter. Plugged a mini-shop vac into the power converter to test if it works. It works, but now my alarm system won’t shut off, and I think it locked the ignition system in the car, so the car won’t start either? Later I realized the shop vac was 5.5A and the converter didnt support that much, so I think we tripped something in the electrical system. Unlocking the doors and locking them doesn’t do a thing. The only thing that shuts off the alarm is disconnecting the battery. Help!

Hi everyone. I have a Compustar Pro Superhet (model # on back of remote is 5532A-JR1600). I accidentally left the headlights on my car for a few hours and the battery died. I recharged the battery, but now my alarm system doesn’t work. When I press the unlock/lock buttons, nothing happens. I tried resetting it by turning on the ignition 5 times and pressing the lock button on the remote, and my lights do flash, but the alarm still does not activate when I press the lock button (and my car doors do not lock either). I seem to have misplaced my manual, so any ideas on how to fix this? Please be as detailed as possible.

My 2000 Toyota Tacoma’s factory standard Alarm system went off and cannot stop it. I borke borh of my keys with the alarm button trying to turn it off. So I have no remote. Read the instruction to trun the alram system off but the truck does not start now. Any idea how to start the truck or get rid of this alarm?
