The car alarm will go off on its own & stop randomly. I have no remote for the alarm to shutoff. I want to disable the system, how would I go about doing so? I have searched for help on google but only found a couple of sites that were no help. Anyone have some knowledge that could help me? Thanks a bunch.

I want to install a car alarm/ remote start for a 2000 GMC Sierra. Do I need a bypass module? From what I understand a bypass module is needed only if there is an existing anti-theft system?

hi, i have a honda civic 06 that i love so i put a remote start/ alarm with a 2 way car alarm from CODE-ALARM and this afternoon when i was leaving work i pressed the option button to get the car started and when i came out the car was panicking so i push the unlock button to make it stop in my remote start i had the pic of the car as if it had been force to open nothing unusual i usually get those all the time so i pressed the button one more time to make it unlock the door but it didn’t work then i put the key to open the door and tried to start the car but nothing in the ar would work i don’t know where my kill switch is at, but if i can find it can i reset it? or what happens now?

Check all the functions of your car after your install, even parts you didn’t touch. I didn’t make a video on it but be sure to reset your airbag light as well after unplugging the harnesses from the BCM.

I just installed a car alarm and when I connect the battery the alarm arms itself and goes off if I touch anything. this even happens when the alarm is turned off. for a while nothing would work at all, I was trying to program the remote but nothing would happen, so I went back and checked if I missed anything, and the only thing I missed was the headlight trigger, so I connected it. after that nothing was working still, I went to start my car again to try programming it again, instead of starting this time, the alarm went off. so now my car will no longer start, and the alarm wont stop going off.the only thing I haven’t done is put fuses in for the dome/parking light polarity. the unit is a code alarm ca-670.
Okay now that I let it just go off for a while, nothing sets it off anymore and the blue led stays on solidly, but I still cannot get it to go into the program mode.

Programming the brain itself (push the push to start button twice with foot off the brake, press the button once more with foot off the brake, LED on the blade with be solid blue for 2 seconds, then LED will turn off). Programming the remote (press the push-to-start button very quickly 11x to go from acc to ignition 5 times then within 2 seconds press the button on the remote for .5 seconds and your remote will be programmed to your module). Check engine light on because I forgot to replug in the mass air flow sensor before remote starting the vehicle. I clear it later with an OBD-II scanner in a later video. If you forget something similar and the car throws a check engine code you can go to advanced auto parts or auto zone and request them to clear your codes for free. Going over the takeover procedure (remote start the car, enter the car, close all the doors, foot on brake, release foot from brake, wait for the push-button to say “on”, drive away). Also note that if you unplug the wires from the BCM your airbag light will blink, I did not make a video on how to clear this, but you turn your car on to ignition (don’t start the car) with the push button, wait for the air bag light to stop blinking, then press the push-button so the car turns off, repeat this process 2 more times and the airbag light will clear.

Installing a hood pin (note that since it is mounted on plastic you will have to ground the hood pin to the negative terminal on the battery or it won’t shoot out ground to the module and therefore will not function).
