No start Automate alarm?

We own a 2007 Nissan Altima that came with an aftermarket Automate alarm installed. It has been nothing but a headache since we got it. Usually it takes 4-5x to get the car started. You push the start button in the car but it just makes a clicking sound…ultimately it will start. Now it is to the point where my wife is stranded with the baby about 4.5 hours away and the car won’t start period. I’m trying to help her over the phone but to no avail.

She has tried replacing the remote batteries, and I’ve looked over probably a dozen manuals online but can’t find any sequence to start the car. Normally you just go through a crazy sequence of locking and unlocking the doors via the aftermarket remote and finally the car would start. Now, she says the aftermarket remote lights up when you click unlock but it does nothing otherwise. She says the alarm is also randomly chirping as she is trying to restart it.

Someone where she is at is helping her put in a new car battery but I’m doubting that is the problem. Any ideas? I’ve looked under the dash before, it is a wiring nightmare!

whats' wrong with my car alarm?

I have an acura 95, everything was fine till few days ago I can’t start the car from the remote, I can lock and unlock the doors but not turn the car on anymore, is there any idea with what might cause the problem like ( battery of the remote, some buttons I might pushed by mistake, some fuses, any suggestions ?)
"the remote have five buttons, 1. lock ; 2. unlock ; 3. start the car 4. picture of an open trunk doesn’t work. 5. small button on the side whith no picture on it or anything seems it doesn’t do anything too"

My doors are locked, and then when I unlock them the car still thinks they are locked. I open the doors and crank my car and the alarm system starts going off. I need to disable the alarm system, but I don’t have a clue how.

can a car alarm be taken out?

i recently bought a car from somebody on craigslist and everytime i lock the doors when i try to start my car again the alarm goes off and wont let me start my car i wasnt told there was an alarm on the car and i cant get in touch with the person who sold it to me is there anyway i can get the alarm taken out or find out what kinda alarm it is so i can get a new remote for it

I recently unplugged my car alaram because i lost the remote and it would randomly go off and for some reason now i notice that when i am manually trying to lock the doors using the button on the door it like half way locks and stops and the door remains unlocked, do you think this has to do with the alarm

Last night we plugged a power converter into cigarette lighter. Plugged a mini-shop vac into the power converter to test if it works. It works, but now my alarm system won’t shut off, and I think it locked the ignition system in the car, so the car won’t start either? Later I realized the shop vac was 5.5A and the converter didnt support that much, so I think we tripped something in the electrical system. Unlocking the doors and locking them doesn’t do a thing. The only thing that shuts off the alarm is disconnecting the battery. Help!

I got an oil change at Wal-Mart, and though I specifically told them not to lock the doors, they locked the doors. This is bad because none of my locks will let me unlock them with my key…I’m guessing the cylinders are messed up or something…but anyways I called the local police station and they sent someone out to unlock my car…but here Is my problem: when he unlocked my car it set off the car alarm, and since I can’t unlock any of the locks, I can’t turn off the alarm (but I disconnected the battery so it wouldn’t die)…and I can’t start the car. I plan to buy another key-less entry remote so I can stop the alarm…but can I program the remote while the alarm is going off?

I own a 2007 Chev Cobalt LT. Standard equiptment includes a content theft deterrant system and a remote car starter. Several days ago, for no apparent reason, The car alarm started to malfunction, and the alarm would sound for no apparent reason. Additionally, simultaneously, the remote car starter stopped working.

The car alarm’s indicator normally blinks three times when first armed or if someone tries to open the doors. It now blinks constantly. Normally, the alarm goes off if the doors, trunk or hood are ajar or open. It now goes off for no apparent reason, usually after sitting armed for a moment or two (maybe as much as ten sometimes).

Normally, the starter will not work if the hazard lights are on, or if the doors, trunk or hood are open. (Among other things) Now, the starter does not work at all, though the car’s lights do flash, which is the sign the the remote’s signal is being received.
The obvious answer is that one of the door/trunk/hood sensors are malfunctioning, though these are have ‘open/ajar/ indicator lights which are not going off unexpectedly. Additionally, I live in a winter climate, with salt and sand on the roads. The car is in mint shape. The only after-market items are related to the sound sytem, all professionally installed.

I suspect that the cause is related to both components. Does anybody know if these two systems have a part or sensors in common?

Can anyone guess what the cause might be?
"Parts made in China." Wow. You suck. I love my shiny Cobalt, but I’d trade it for a Honda anyday.

my car alarm won't shutup?

recently i got my first car fixed, it’s a old honda i havent used in years. the first owner had the "MAAT GFM-750 Car Alarm" installed. i was googling and found a similiar alarm, i am sure that this is the alarm i have. cos i reconized the remote and the black box with a red led. there is a fuse box too but i can’t find it while looking under the hood/steering wheel.

at first the remote didn’t unlock/lock the doors, someone suggested i should get a new battery and i did but that didn’t fix it.

now i got new problems:
- remote button won’t lock/unlock doors
- remote wont shut off alarm siren
- sometimes alarm goes off after battery hook up
- sometimes when i got the battery hook up without alarm siren, tried start up the car = alarm goes of + engine didnt start

it’s annoying to the neighobor and embarrasing to me.
i need a solution please, it’s a waste of money to buy auto insurrance for a inactive car.
i tries big tink, but unable to locate it. i cut off 1 speaker under the hood thinking its connected to the alarm. but there is another it seems if i can find it i would cut off too.
latest update: i successed in deactivate the alarm. would like to know how to sync the alarm with my remote.

When i lock the doors on my car, it always flashes on the dashboard, "anti-theft". I am just wondering what an aftermarket alarm system would do different from the factory alarm system.
