This is a step-by-step video of how to install a generic JVC KD-R200 radio into a 1998 Dodge Ram Quad-Cab. In this second part I illustrate how I wise the radio in a way that doesn’t harm the truck.. I think it is real important to never modify the car’s wiring or dash, I hate it when people just start cutting holes. When my install is done it all looks nice and factory but more importantly, everything could be removed and returned to stock to sell the truck for instance. I would appreciate any comments or questions, ideas or difficulties you might have. Post a video response of your project and how you were able to overcome it. I am a History teacher by trade but a tinkerer at heart. The truck is Cummings turbo diesel with about 150000 miles and numerous modifications including a pack break, propane injection, duel circuit ditch lights tied to the high/low beams, trailer break switch to kill breaks when pulling an empty trailer, fuel pump pressure boost light (you only kill one injection pump from starvation before you learn) electric lift pump to save the injector pump, remote heavy equipment fuel filter and a long range fuel tank that will let me go nearly 1000 miles between pumps.
