Is "Secure Auto" a good shop to have my viper 791xv installed? Or does anybody know a good shop that does installation of it? Im not looking for the remote start to be installed. My car is a 2000 v6 mustang convertible 5-speed (hence i dont want remote start… wouldnt want to find it in a wall or in my house one morning… or down the street in someones house) It already has power doors and locks and it had a remote that controls the doors and the trunk lid already installed. So does anybody know a good shop that does that kind of work that isnt too pricey. Secure Auto quoted me 90 bux for complete installation and M&M customs quoted me 150 dollars for the same installation. Any help or ideas welcome.

I have a 2003 Yukon Denali. It has a Clifford alarm with remote start alread installed. I would like to have a 2-way alarm so that it notifies me with something is going on, but I don’t want to spend another 0 to have an entirely new alarm installed.

Im try’n to install the 5901 viper alarm on my 2001 Lincoln LsV8. and for some reson i cant get the remote start to crank or do any thing. I got the bypass module and the 2 keys that i need for the car and the car’s wire diagram but i cant make the sucker work. anyone knows what might be the problem?

I have an 04 Subaru STi with a remote start key fob. The key fob has nothing to do with the alarm, it neither deactivates nor activates it. The original fob is usually in my glovebox just in case my alarm goes off but having had it stored for months in my parents garage I forgot to put it in the car. I drove the car to the city I live in to sell it, the buyer wants a compression test and I get it done, but the alarm is triggered when the mechanic locks the door without the key fob. Now my starter motor is disabled, my horns go off, and when I pulled that fuse the signal lights blink (which I took out for the time being).

We were able to "trick" the car to start at the shop, but now I have a dead car at my house. Is there any way to disable the stock alarm system in this car since I can’t get my original fob for at least a day or two?

Are there any reputable places to install car alarms? I want the 9.99 system (2 way alarm/remote start) offered at Best Buy, since Circuit City is dead, there really is no competition out there. I went to the directed electronics website (the maker of Viper) and all the "authorized retailers" are small, independent shops who charge double the price! I don’t have a problem with Best Buy, I just want to know if I have any other choice that is cheaper yet reliable (not Craig’s List or anything like that). We are in Baltimore, MD.

I have a Python Alarm w/ Remote Start. I can still lock/unlock, arm/disarm my truck, BUT, the image on my remote will not change, nor will i get a confirmation from the remote such as a chirp saying it has locked or unlocked. I can still remote start it and everything.

The wireless Rx symbol on the remote still flashes, but when I arm my car, it shows that the connection with the alarm couldnt be reached. Also, when I disarm my car, my LED indicator will blink 3 times?

Can anyone please give me some info on ways of troubleshooting this problem? Either by offering your solustions, or directing me towards an online manual? Thanks in advance for your help.

I want to install a car alarm/ remote start for a 2000 GMC Sierra. Do I need a bypass module? From what I understand a bypass module is needed only if there is an existing anti-theft system?

hi, i have a honda civic 06 that i love so i put a remote start/ alarm with a 2 way car alarm from CODE-ALARM and this afternoon when i was leaving work i pressed the option button to get the car started and when i came out the car was panicking so i push the unlock button to make it stop in my remote start i had the pic of the car as if it had been force to open nothing unusual i usually get those all the time so i pressed the button one more time to make it unlock the door but it didn’t work then i put the key to open the door and tried to start the car but nothing in the ar would work i don’t know where my kill switch is at, but if i can find it can i reset it? or what happens now?

Check all the functions of your car after your install, even parts you didn’t touch. I didn’t make a video on it but be sure to reset your airbag light as well after unplugging the harnesses from the BCM.
